There is actually an entire political ideology called Christian Communism, Jesus (assuming he existed) was basically a Socialist, and my grandparents were antitheist hyperconservatives. So the correlation is not a strong enough one to point out in an argument, with so many exceptions, and hardly a viable rule, if one at all. So I think that pointing out any correlation between hardcore secularism and socialism was based on ignorance, rather than overanalization.
