Very well, that god I believe in. Doesn't seem worthwhile to worship them though.

You make an assumption. My ancestors and yours (cavemen) may or may not have believed in God. I don't know. But even if they did, that doesn't mean that I do.

The first organised religions, and a clear concept of God, seemed to have first within the past 7000-5000 years ago.

Any proto-humans probably either didn't think about it or were similar to animists if they did.

Not non-omnipotent gods and such. The rest is bible stuff, which is false and you are right in pointing that out.

My guess is even if there is a god (seems unlikely to me, burden of proof and all that jazz) it probably wouldn't give a crap about any of us, so I'm gonna live my life as if there isn't.

I think of it this way:
-I could live my entire life as an atheist yet still never commit a "sin", however, if there is a god I will still be sent to hell for not believing in god
-The bible says that god dictates everything and yet someone may live in a place where they will never hear of a god and be sent to hell for not believing in god.
Why?Why would a "loving" god create such situations? It doesn't make sense.

I suppose my points were aimed mostly at Christianity and for that, but living in Canada, I'm not exposed to other religions as much. I also can't read the languages that other religions are written in.

anyway, that's my opinion

You know, it's not necessary to believe in a god to be a Christian. In fact, I would argue that belief in a god is incompatible with being a Christian.

I personally believe there is a god out there, and as a Christian, I believe in one god of course and Jesus Christ, son of God and savior of man.

So, if it isn't obvious, I believe there is a god.
I am a Conservative Republican, a firm believer in free market capitalism. A free market system allows all parties to compete, which ensures the best and most competitive project emerges, and ensures a fair, democratic process.

Nope, scientists agree that the truest statement in the universe is
