Is There a God?

Now, I suppose I am a Christian, however I am not completely convinced that there is a god looking over me 24/7. Now, there probably has been THOUSANDS of these forums but I'm just interested, what are your beliefs and what do you think?

Probably not. You're a monkey that's developed some faculties for reason, language, and civilization. You've also been abandoned to your freedom in a pretty rough world. Ultimately, religious belief is just a way out from dealing with the uncomfortable nature of reality by promising a settling of accounts in the afterlife to correct the wrongs in this life.

In the mean time, whether god exists or not (he probably doesn't), your efforts would be better spent not wondering about this question, and instead working with your fellow monkeys to make everyone's life as fulfilled and good as possible.

I am atheist, generally. I want to believe that God exists, but there's nothing to prove he does. Maybe in the future I might be more agnostic, but for now, I remain a bit uneasy.

Some monkeys find it hard to work with others depending on what beliefs their faculties have reached :/
