I hate to admit it but I have to agree. Cameron just opposes everything Labour does that's recently caused public outrage. All talk with no substance! We might be in crap now but do you remember living under the conservatives?

I wasn't even seven when we got rid of them, so...no.

False.
Brown was elected by his constituents to represent them in Parliament, and was elected by the PLP to lead them. As he was thus the leader of the majority party, he was appointed as PM by the Queen. This is exactly what happened with Blair as well.

When the election was held in 1997, the British people did not elect Tony Blair as Prime Minister. They each individually elected their MP, leading to the PLP having the majority in the HoC. At this point Blair, as the Leader of the PLP, was appointed PM. This is exactly the same to what happened with Brown, except that the PLP were already the majority party when Brown became leader of the PLP.
So both were elected -- by their constituents and then by the PLP. Neither were elected by the general public. What's bullshit is to claim that Blair was elected and Brown was not.

Not exactly true. In 1997, everyone knew that a vote for a Labour candidate was a vote to have Blair as Prime Minister by proxy. There has been no such similar election for Brown.
