You can't change the mentality of young boys. They love to pick on people who aren't like them to make themselves feel good and to show off to other people. You can say, everyone is equal till your blue in the face, the reality is, everyone is different and some people love to exploit that.
Right...
The good old "they bring it on themselves" clause. Why don't we teach all students who are different in some way to be ashamed of themselves, that should solve the problem.
Did you not read the second part of my post? You can't change this mentality. Just like there will never be world peace and the world will never be free of poverty. Instead of trying to stop it, try to deal with it.
Theyo nly get their mentality forom similar minded parents, so if you teach the next generation to be more thoughtful, it should carry on to their kids.
You can't eliminate beliefs. Duh. Thats why we have a never ending stream of extremists who wish to harm the west. Thats why white supremacism is still living today. Thats why homosexuals are being bullied at school. People are always afraid of whats different. Teaching people these days to be tolerant is having no effect. At all. Period.
40 years ago those white supremacists were hanging black men from trees. Now they're spouting ideological bull on the radio about the President of the United States. That's a pretty big effect in my books.
