If the young man, his parents and others are guilty, either through malice or through ignorance, of misrepresenting or outright lying about what was said, what should the penalty be?

However, some penalty from his employers might be in order (weather firing or a lesser penalty like a pay cut), as this is unprofessional and potentially disruptive conduct from a teacher.

Shut up you sadist cup of shit.
Because of your type children, based on their sexuality, are victimised daily, they are beaten literally bloody by their parents, beaten up and outcast at school all based on what they are born to like and dislike!
I personaly was abused physically at a catholic school, and held at knife point by one of the students, I was stabbed in the shoulder, abdomen and my shin and left without medical aid for 2 hours!
Don't you dare say what is and is not worthy of attention!

Getting beaten and stabbed is different from verbal assaults. They should all be punished by the law.

You can't change the mentality of young boys. They love to pick on people who aren't like them to make themselves feel good and to show off to other people. You can say, everyone is equal till your blue in the face, the reality is, everyone is different and some people love to exploit that.

Right...
The good old "they bring it on themselves" clause. Why don't we teach all students who are different in some way to be ashamed of themselves, that should solve the problem.

Did you not read the second part of my post? You can't change this mentality. Just like there will never be world peace and the world will never be free of poverty. Instead of trying to stop it, try to deal with it.

Theyo nly get their mentality forom similar minded parents, so if you teach the next generation to be more thoughtful, it should carry on to their kids.
