Heterosexual, but I believe that no matter their sexual orientation, every person is special and beautiful in their own way. I do not condemn gays, bisexuals (etc...) : I condemn the hypocrisy and discrimination.

Definitely straight.

Short period of experimentation with homosexuality did not yield pleasant results, dropped that like a bad habit.

The portion of my brain which handles all thoughts I have into the matter when those two shut up wishes I were a eunuch and therefore incapable of sex. (so another vote for asexual)

So, I choose to ignore the bits of my mind which demand that I break my streak of asexuality in favor of ignoring romance, sexual attraction, sex, and what have you, and paying attention to more important things.

So Asexual on the whole.

See, I considered that at one point, however, my mind has clearly (by which I mean all four of the above entities agree whole-heartedly) shown that it is utterly disgusted by both sets of genitalia. It has also shown, that any amount of interaction those sets have with anything at all (each other, themselves, assorted non genital body parts, inanimate objects, animals, the air, etc.) instantly compounds the disgust in an exponential curve.

Even the Pineal gland and Imaginative Pineal associate both stop just short of real sexual interaction in their myriad "hey, rest of the brain, y'know what I think we should do?" fantasies. And, whenever they do hit that point, in a lost within the scenario situation, the whole thing breaks instantly and those portions of my brain retreat back into obscure subconscious activity. In essence, the brain (Pineal gland and whatever part of the right brain is making these stupid forced mental scenarios in particular) is attracted to females, but not sex. It wants everything but that as far as I, the asexually biased dominant portion of my person, can tell.

Coupled with this fact, my mind has realized that, though all portions of my mind agree that the penis is a sickening organ which would have been much better if it were infected with gangrene that managed to leave the rest of the body intact, it cannot bear the thought of actually having it removed.
It doesn't wish it were gone; having had it for so long, it's difficult to imagine a life where I don't have one, and how certain processes (urination) would work. I don't really wish I could get rid of it, so much as that I had never had one.

On that note, don't tell me that a vagina also has a urethra, I know this, but I don't want that equally horrid monstrosity either. I was pretty serious about that whole "wish I were a eunuch" thing. The few times that my brain has entertained the thought of becoming female, everything fell apart at around that point. As much as the brain hates male genitalia, it hates the female's just as much, and would absolutely loathe having to deal with such an alien and mentally contradictory thing.

It's much more likely that the pineal gland and its partner simply demonstrate a repressed shadow within my psychology which conflicts far too much with my personality to hope for any amount of appeasement. I've predicted that my thoughts pertaining to the pineal gland's sex-related wants will decline with age, and I am readily looking forward to that day. So unless some extremely convincing female (various agreements between every part of the mind have determined that I am assuredly not into males) arrives and spontaneously decides to, and succeeds to seduce me, I'm going to be asexual, and I'm going to enjoy all of the relaxation it brings in comparison to those of different fortune (not positive or negative mind you, to each their own, but definitively different).

EDIT: Just realized, I'm one of 19 people on here of the same stance (relatively). I'm the most minor of the minorities in this statistic.

Asexual does not refer to the type of reproduction, it retains its individual meaning.
Asexual- Without sex
Reproduction- a process by which a thing creates another of itself.
Asexual Reproduction- A process by which a thing creates another of itself without sex.

An asexual person is not capable of asexual reproduction, since they are still human and therefore require sex to reproduce; an asexual person is one who is without sex (ual orientation).

So if we plug this whole sexual orientation thing into a metaphor:
Let us arbitrarily designate the South pole as the 100% heterosexual and the North pole as the 100% homosexual.
Anyone in between those is a varying degree of bisexual tilted toward whichever pole they are closest.
In this situation, the asexual is - on the moon. Totally uninvolved and watching the whole thing from a lot of different perspectives while slowly growing farther and farther from the whole thing.

(I realize I've simplified a lot here, I am trying to keep it simple, and creating a perfect metaphor is really, really hard)

The Tea Party are basically just the mainstream RR/establishment "conservatives" rebranded, as multiple polls and candidates show (O'Donnell etc.). I'm saying this as sort of a bitter ex-Tea Party member too. Granted the Tea Party has been somewhat more moderate on foreign policy and TP members have shown definite nationalist tendencies that the mainstream GOP typically doesn't anymore. For example, in polling they've been shown to be almost as anti-NAFTA as unions (61% vs. 65% respectively). Compare that to the people representing them...

Ok. But, given your signature about Santorum, I have to ask, do you respect those of us in the LGBT community?

It's probably just not a major issue to him. Although admittedly, even by GOP standards Santorum was pretty uniquely rabid about it.

Yeah, it is. Do recall, though, that we are on the internet, and a very liberal part of the internet at that. Secondly, this is a thread about sexual orientation, and is therefore likely to attract more respondents that are interested in sexual orientation, which often include those with a minority sexual orientation.

I guess orientation is kinda a fuzzy concept in my circles.

That's from Kinsey. I think now we're saying it's closer to 1-5%, depending on your definition. Smaller percentages involve consistent homosexual activities, higher ones involve self-identification, and you get to about 10% or so when talking about people who have had intentional homosexual encounters.

And demisexuals are...in orbit? Or simultaneously on the Earth and the Moon? :p

I'll try:
At a party, all possible flavors of cake and pie are being offered as dessert. Some guests will just want dessert, regardless of type or flavor. Some people just want pie and don't care what flavor. Some people just want cake and don't care what flavor. Some people want a particular flavor, regardless of type. Some people want a particular slice and nothing else appeals to them at all. Some people want dessert, but are on a diet. And some people don't want dessert at all.
