That's the plan, but I wanted to find out if anyone knew what I might do to maximize my chances. I've already got the money saved up for the trip.

Alright. Luckily my local community college offers full courses in French.

Would it make sense to try and learn a trade before I go, like carpentry? I think I'd be better off picking up a skill before I go, since they might be more interested in skilled labor rather than unskilled labor.

Also, sorry if all this is spam, I couldn't find anywhere else to ask.

J'ai seulement des bases malheureusement, j'ai un ami qui l'apprend mais moi je ne suis jamais allé plus loin que le vocabulaire basique... :/

Néanmoins, j'ai les tics de langage lyonnais (comme mettre des "y" partout) et un peu l'accent quand je m'énerve ou que je parle fort ( comme prononcer le "é" de certains mots comme cahier comme si c'était un "è").
