I stopped watching SciFi when I realized 90% of the stuff they play is cheap shit.

You have to admit though, the SciFi original movies are good material to make fun of.

I would completely understand If they didn't make 20 cheap crappy movies to make One mildly amusing film.

Good dog, when did it become syfy? That's an abomination.

Is this going to be another cosmic literary abortion, as I suspect? Or, do you think it might actually work?

I actually liked Tin Man. Alice might be interesting, I'll have to watch and see.

BTW: from what I've heard and read, they changed their name to SyFy because of trademark considerations. "SciFi" was considered a generic term for science fiction and thus couldn't be trademarked. I didn't like it at first, but at least they had a reason for doing it.

Ok that just stupid...Why couldn't they just trademark "SciFi Channel"?

Yea, because the youth and hip crowd really digs the Sci-Fi genre. :palm:

I'm still wondering why the Hell they even have Wrestling on that channel...

From what I heard at DragonCon, it sounds like a cross between Lost in Space, Voyager and Teen Angst TV. Basically, it sounded like Stargate:90210. I am hoping for better, and will give it a shot, but I ain't holding my breath.

I liked Tin Man.

The cast list for this looks pretty bad ass.

And I happened to like Tin Man

Burton and the usual characters are doing a revisiting of Alice in Wonderland set some several years in the future.

SyFy, phonetically, should bee "Sye-fee," so I just have a problem with it on an English level :P

but then, Sci Fi should be pronounce Sci fih anyway, so who cares.

It reminds me of when they put out an inferior version of Dune while the real film was still fresh.

They seem to like to use grade B English actors and clunky British effects, don't they?

It's just so that everyone in the US media doesn't kill themselves. If we had British writing with American levels of money flying about, Hollywood would set on fire or something.

I'm sure it wouldn't be too different....
