Honduras, much of the world has it wrong

An interview with an American that lives in Honduras... Gives a pretty cogent summation of what's going on and has gone on.

Yes, a FOXNews Blog. Even more impartial than the BBC.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

Still, it's technically the Internetz.

Better than pure TV.

We can all agree that's nothing but pure evil.

I don't know, my sources are honduran people living in Honduras. I think those are better than americans living in Honduras. But well, I guess brown people cannot be trusted. We always need the insight of the true progressive white man.

It's simpler than that. The feelings of non-americans are patently irrelevant. Americans are the true harbingers of Peace and Unity(TM) in the world, and thus none of the rest of the world's opinion matters, unless they agree with us of course. Therefore, if you're not American, you are wrong - unless you agree with us.

Sorry. Them's the breaks.

You should know there's only three kinds of brown people: Cheap Labor, Terrorists, and Collateral Damage.

Fixed. Our attacks have no collateral damage. We only kill terrorists *nod*.

Oh, and job stealers pertain to which class? Cheap Labour gone wrong? Potential terrorists?

That kind of statement can start a bonfire over a thread.

So let's stop derailing. What is your position on the situation on Honduras?

I figured Honduras was unimportant enough that people might leave them alone for once.

Joe the PlumberMitch the IT guy has his own version of what happened in Honduras, and dislikes commies. Thus the world must be wrong.

These guys disagree with the official version of a story too, thus the official story must be wrong.

Hey, this guy also says that the official, publicly accepted story is wrong too, so there must be something wrong there as well. No smoke without fire, is there?

That's how it works, isn't it?

It's amazing. Not a one of you tried to actually find and read the Constitution and verify a few facts. I did.

Zelaya was ousted by the Supreme Court, the Congress agreed overwhelmingly, he violated the Constitution repeatedly, and so on. Sorry, it wasn't a coup at all. The military isn't running the country. No new government is in place. The man in office now will be leaving, and can't hold office again. Seriously, NOTHING about this fits the definition of a "coup".

Obama's just such a ideological slave to socialism, that he falls on th side of Zelaya, no matter what the law is...

You, being a mainlander, can't fully appreciate the implications of this ousting. It brings back memories of 70's Central America, where coups were the norm. Violence raging day in and day out. Also, you obviously do not know your facts. The Congress that wanted to oust him were all those opposed to his policies regarding the poor. Basically, the rich bureaucrats went whiney-poos. Also, Manuel Zelaya did not specifically want his term to be extended, but for him to be eligible for reelection. This means, PEOPLE WOULD OPPOSE HIM.
