What's wrong with democratic senators?

Well pretty much all of the senate is consisted of democrats and our current congress is the worst in US history (at least for approval rating).

Aren't there two houses (or whatever you call them) in congress?

House of Representatives, and Senate. I just chose to use senator because its shorter than representative.

What? People that buy SUVs are regular people. Besides that they have one or more of the following; kids, outdoor hobbies, a boat to tow. You know, things that a government mandated Prius cannot accomplish. Capiche?

Dohohoho, oh you. There are people all over the world with families who don't feel the need to own a tank with the armour stripped off.

Those people have to pay $10/gallon for gas because of taxes. So the Prius, or similar alternative is much easier on the wallet. It is not that they don't want and SUV. It's that if they wanted one, they most likely cannot afford one.

Did I say they were jealous? Are you saying that the cost of gasoline has no effect on behavior of the public? You do realize that in Europe gasoline is 2-4 times more expensive than in the US right? The more expensive the gas is, the more fuel efficient the average car sold is. Simple math.

To bring the thread back to its original topic,

"Why are you against single-payer health care?"
"Why is the United States still embroiled in multiple foreign wars, even though you promised we'd be out already?"
"Why, in this country, has it become the status quo to spread failure of the largest financial institutions (which themselves orchestrated our recent collapse) among the entire country - yet when they begin to recover, making record profits by investing taxpayers' money, it's theirs to keep, no questions asked?"

Haha. Spinners, which are in bad taste on any car, go equally well (or bad) on any car.

I'd then inquire as to why you are intentionally ignoring an important section of the Bible?

Easy enough to get around. Just have a catholic flick the switch right after a confession, they are at that point without sin.

Except those particular edicts were revoked in the New Testament.

I don't, however, recall the "Don't be a self-righteous crusader and arbitrarily decide who gets to live or die" clause being edited out.
