He has had some loose involvement, and is privy to plans of attempted terrorism; and he is talking with, and seems for the most part being cooperative with, this FBI investigation... I have a feeling he will become a material witness, and probably eventually be shuffled into a witness protection program.

If you guys didnt hear, some "guy" named Najibullah Zazi has admitted ties to Al Qaeda while living in the U.S. He's in custody right now, but the fact that he was so easily available to al qaeda is ridiculous. So what you are saying then is this "arab" guy is helping the FBI fight terrorism. In that case could you make the argument that trying to deport "arabs" would result in making it more difficult for the FBI to fight terrorism?

It sounds like the policy proposed by the OP would help terrorists by removing the people willing to cooperate with the FBI on investigations.

His blog is more up-to-date than the CNN segment... The CNN segment might be somewhat accurate (in claiming his "in custody" status), in that it was likely being recorded while he was still in talks with the FBI... But is also inaccurate in portraying not-so-accurate information... As for his "ringleader" status... I doubt that, he seems to have been more of a "foreward observer" gathering data and intel for operatives who were not here yet.

Actually the Japanese Internment camps were very racism motivated, so much so that there was a huge lawsuit against the United States Government which, oh no, resulted in reparations for violations of the victims civil and human rights. The victims also lost a lot of property as a result of internment, they lost their businesses to white people who took them over, so yeah, racism had a role in that, and it plays a role in your argument regardless of your own concept of racism. Not all "Arabs" are Muslims and not all Muslims are "Arabs. and not all Muslims are terrorists. ok? Its fear mongering and bigoted to stand on that soapbox crying "round up all them there a-rabs and get em in a camp so they can't bother us no more!"
