At some point, answers merely lead to the next question, he comes across as justifying too often where, when mud is thrown, mud sticks anyway. He should, to some extent, cut the interviews, and he also shouldn't pointedly omit a channel that, for better or worse, does represent a large audience that might resent his dismissal of them all.

I believe the typical U.S. citizen may watch one episode of Obama Sunday, if any. Honestly, he can't win for trying. He doesn't go out there and pitch and he's not selling his plan hard enough, he goes on a blitz and tries to sell it and he's over-exposed. Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. And if that's the case, then it's given the choice between just taking it on the chin or campaigning, which is where he shines, so he might as well go with his strengths.
