I think it's our moral duty to bend over backwards in order to help people who have been historically oppressed. If this means a few innocent men go to prison in order to greatly reduce rape, doesn't the end justify the means?

Guilty until proven innocent is a terrible idea, regardless of gender.

Not entirely. We do live in a male-dominated society, in general. The patriarchy is not as strong as it once was, but that's not the same as nonexistent.

I have to agree with you there. It's a very stupid idea, and that's why we should be working to abolish it.

How many people keep strong documentation of every moment of their lives. I spend most of my nights at home, which, due to a lack of witnesses and paper trails, would be damned hard to prove about any specific night.

Tell me, are you this paranoid about being falsely accused of theft? Murder? Then why are you so paranoid about being falsely accused of rape, something which doesn't appear to happen all that often anyway?

Because with theft and murder, you're innocent until proven guilty.

Not to nearly as heavily a degree as it's claimed. For example, although there is admittedly some wage discrimination against women, it's worth noting that men often skew more heavily to the extreme ends of the wage scale; i.e. men occupy most of the cushy high-paying jobs, but also most of the god-awful low-paying jobs.

Besides, the idea of of a patriARCHY, when taken literally, is flawed. Either that, or nobody told me where to pick up my slice of the archy.

Additionally, there's a lot of crap that men cop because of their gender role. It's not just a one way street. It's why I'm slowly drinking myself to death instead of seeking help, which would be much more acceptable if I were female.

Well, like I said, it's not nearly as extreme as some claim. I fully support the idea of, for example, equal pay for equal work.
