Last I heard, it's not illegal to get in a drunken bar brawl. Now, that's what I'm talkin' about.

Not that bar idiots fighting is cool. But nose-punching those kinds of guys in the face certainly is.

Yes, it's a little known fact that it was originally called The Land of God's Ire, then it was God's Ire Land, then just Ireland,

I don't think about Ireland.

Seriously.

Unless someone brings it up, Ireland never crosses my mind. It just . . . doesn't.

Ireland should be returned to the Fir Bolg.
The kind of middle-class mentality which actuates both those responsible for strategy and government has little knowledge of the new psychology and organizing ability of the totalitarian States. The forces we are fighting are governed neither by the old strategy nor follow the old tactics.

I know I've always wanted to go their. Any place that invented Guinness and colcannon has to be good.

Besides, my favorite deity, the Morrigan, is Irish. Grainne ni Malley was Irish and led Queen Bess's boys a merry dance.

yes. that and solar-topia. and strangeness.
also vegetation and nonhuman life forms.

the guy with the bionic arm a millinea before robotics was invented
and the saint who was a goddess who was her own grandmother

i also like foxes with two or more tails from another odd interesting place,

I love Ireland. I spent 2 weeks in Ireland a couple of months ago visiting my dad who lives there. It's a shame the economy has gone to complete shit.

I'd love to actually go there someday.

For some reason, whenever I was sick when I was a school child, the TV always had travel shows about Ireland so it sounds rather neat.

That, and yes, any country that makes the Nectare of the Gods needs to be visited.

I always thought you were a bit off. You always manage to make a post about 5x as long as is necessary for the thread's topic, and its mostly nonsense. No one seems to respond to your posts either, or rarely do. Its just interesting because you have stuck around for quite awhile despite that. Honestly I think you're a bit off your rocker, but its all good, although I don't think light rail is the transportation solution for every situation, I realize you hate cars, but I think they can be quite useful at times.

I like this song, since someone already posted an IRA song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FY00d-Ad ... re=related

I always think of Cameroi as Neal Cassady on the Magic Bus in The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test - "the world's greatest driver, who could roll a joint while backing a 1937 Packard onto the lip of the Grand Canyon", gently flipping his hammer and generally bothering nobody,

Also, I do not like the Irish accent since it always sunds a bit as if someone made fun of my thick German one.

Its also one of the only countries I know of where being drunk can be used as a defence when charged with assult. Its actually taken into account even more if you can prove that you have an ongoing drink problem.

Seeing as blasphemy was written into the lawbooks as an actual crime not all that long ago, I'm not sure about this.

Its was a political smoke screen to divert attention from issues suck as the economy and ministerial expenses. It would never have made it through the courts. Despite Irelands special relationship with the catholic church as defined in the constitution <I would like to see the whold bloody thing scrapped and redrafted> in practice it would be unworkable.Indeed the present statute is unworkable and has not been used in decades.
