The issue is much more complex than you or the person you agreed with is saying it is though. It is not cut and dry like that.

At which point all pregnant women lose the right to bodily sovereignty and will be forced to carry the fetus full term no matter what. Even if she didn't find out she was pregnant until 3 months and 1 day into the pregnancy, or that the fetus has implanted into her fallopian tubes and will slowly kill her, or that her husband left her with 4 kids and all of the marital debt and she simply can't afford to keep the baby.

I've never understood this line of logic. Either a woman has the absolute right to control over her body or she doesn't. If she does, then abortion should be an option to all pregnant women regardless of how far along they are. If not, then women are second class citizens for however long you arbitrarily draw a line in the sand.

Third trimester fetuses can feasibly survive outside the womb. I highly doubt a woman would ever not know she was pregnant 3 months in and even then, that is only the second trimester.

If the fetus can live outside the womb, just have a premature birth...if the woman/family does not want/cannot support the child, give it to another who can.

If you don't like abortion, then invent the technology that would allow the safe transfer of a fetus from a woman unwilling to carry it to term to a willing one. No one, born or unborn, has the right to use the body and organs of a person without their consent, and until that technology comes around, abortion is the only method of getting rid of an unwanted fetus.

I agree, if a woman wants to abort an otherwise healthy fetus at the 7 month mark, then all efforts should be made to induce labor in order to save it. But abortion has to remain an option at all stages of pregnancy, because there are just so many ways that things can go wrong, and no one should be forced to wait and give birth to a stillborn or anencephalitic baby.

How about we graft female reproductive systems onto everyone who wants to outlaw abortion? From there, we still wouldn't be right to ban it, or to chop a woman open to take out a blastocyst, but it'd be a start.

No. There are still instances such as: severe mental or genetic disorders, stillbirths, inability to find a woman willing to carry your unwanted fetus. Abortion would remain an option. I just think that this idea would possibly reduce the number of abortions by allowing pro-life people to put their money where their mouths are and give them the opportunity to save unwanted fetuses from termination.

I care about life. I care about ensureing every person on earth lives a long life and is not killed before he or she is born, they might be murdered in their life after their born but that is a hell of a lot better than being killed before their born, because he or she can actually defend him her self from enemies. If a fetus turns into a person like you or me why should he or she have no rights? Is he or she unworthy of life?
