Apparently the recession is causing the American porn industry worlds of hurt. The ever increasing popularity of internet porn and piracy are exacerbating the situation. But is it really just the economy and the internet? I think not. I think people are tired of looking at these Los Angeles bred bleached-blonde fake breasted horribly acting porn performers and are, instead, becoming more interested in more realistic-looking girls and guys, without all the nonsense and pretension. I would say that Europe and Japan are drawing the crowds, as are all the free amateur (cam whore) sites.

Looks to me like they're up against some stiff competion, while profits are going down, and so their attenpts to corner the market on lemon-creampie aren't going so well, so to cut costs, they'll need to strap on the thinking caps.

Personal anecdotes. I wasn't trying to make an academic point -- it's just my random, completely unsubstantiated, casual observation based on personal tastes. I'm looking for speculative, yet plausible, answers. My "thought" may be baseless and unsubstantiated, but it is reasonable, is it not?
