If you could choose one living person to be the next US President (or, if you're not American, the leader of your country), who would it be?

My choice would be Neil de Grasse Tyson. As a scientist, Tyson would make decisions about the economy based on the facts, rather than ideology. And he would work hard to repair the faltering American education system. His running mate would be George Takei, who is simply awesome. Ideally, Takei would handle all press conferences, and would deal with detractors by hitting on them.

Replace the office of president with a "people's pen" whereby a simple majority vote of the people in favor of a bill causes the bill to be "signed" and a simple majority against is a veto.
