Evolution for the win. The snake could have easily killed her if she was asleep.

I read this earlier today, it freaked me out big time. So many weird things happen in China, like that baby born with a penis on its back.

"A more common mutation among snakes is the growth of a second head, which occurs in a similar way to the formation of Siamese twins in humans.

Such animals are often caught and preserved as lucky tokens but have very little chance of surviving in the wild anyway, especially as the heads have a tendency to attack each other. "

Thats awesome... I would have never thought that the two snakes would just kill each other like that.

Regardless still a shame.

why, would you have let it/forced it to breed to see what the result would be? that seems like the only good reason to let it live.

I think that PETA's charter mentions these snake in a footnote.

i'd be curious. and i'm a little bit disturbed that i don't live in a world where more people don't seem to be as curious as i would. not that i'd put curiosity above avoidance of suffering if it were a matter of that. but i think if i were in a situation like that i'd try to find a way to not have to kill it. of course if i couldn't, well it wouldn't be THAT big of a deal of course. but still. i'd be, as i am, still curious as to what might/could have been.

i also realize of course that the vast majority of such mutations are unstable and unlikely to breed true. that evolution takes a long time because it really is so seldom that such a mutation is actually successful, not only in the sense of the individual(s) own survival but in being able to mate and pass the new characteristic on. and of course there has to be an environmental factor to favor the change and the passing on of it too.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

It deserves its rightful death in trying to subvert God's final edict to the serpent back in the Garden of Eden. Good riddance.
