Well in our pleb schools we sketch our notes on scraps of cardboard.

You get cardboard?! We have to write our essays on the desks.

Well that's Victoria for you. Still, you're doing better than Queensland. At least you have schools.

I only learned that Messiah means the anointed one. And how retreating further into conservatism is a natural reaction when confronted with what is perceived as alien.

I found out that Noah's ark carried animals, and that some old guy called Moses parted waves, and drowned people.

There was a girl that pricked her finger every night into a jar in the hope that she could bring Jesus back to life. This was year three.

Bush bashed my way to a mate's place today through thick bush and marshland. Came out into the suburban housing estate after an hour or so, having almost stepped on a red-bellied black snake, bleeding from razor grass, wet past the knees from falling into sinkholes, covered in mud, swearing profusely with a swag over my shoulder containing half a serve of Caesar salad. I like to think of it as a Pyrrhic victory.

I went shopping at Aldi and had lunch at Nandos with my sister. City life at its finest.

Oh, wow, you have snakes?

Mmm... Portuguese. Totz jelly.

And yes, we have plenty. Confirming once again that all those stereotypes about the Australian bush aren't exactly stereotypes, and I'm a little bit stupid.

I don't know of anywhere in Australia that doesn't have snakes. We actually had to desnake one of the interactive whiteboards at work yesterday, although that was a pet snake. We have gotten wild ones in the playground before.

You're from Melbourne, if I remember correctly. Maybe it's too cold there?

Yah, I'm from Melbourne. I've never seen a snake in the city before. There might be some in the Dandenongs, though, because the mountains are still quite heavily forested.

Maybe two thirds of the way through an assessment due tomorrow (8:45pm) and the consistent crahing of the computer seems to have stopped. I'll pop back when I'm finished.

Snakes like the coast as much as people I think. And as for the public transport, there was a bus in twenty minutes, but I thought this way would be quicker and funner.

Nandos, last time I went there the food was cold and overpriced, I was lucky I didn't catch food poisoning; which I have a strong resistance to in fact, due to my experiences with the consumption of expired food produce. :meh:

I prefer walking, or running to catching private or public transport, I also have a fear of driving; to a certain extent. ;)

I prefer those too. It keeps you fitter. Though being covered in sweat can get kind of annoying.
