So immigrants should stay in their "asian" countries just in case, for not giving votes for the BNP?

Wouldn't it be easier to fight the prejudices of the BNP showing that immigrants and brits have lots of things in common?

This thread has been reported in Moderation, but I see no reason to lock it.

Holding opinions that the majority on NSG find offensive is not itself against the rules, and the OP doesn't seem to be trolling.

A couple of issues... one tiny and terminological, the other slightly more important.

I doubt the OP went to public school.

The confusion here is, of course, terminological. ASB may not be aware that 'public school' actually means 'selective fee-paying school' in British English, not 'state-supported school'. Hence, Eton is a public school, but St. Flogging's Comprehensive isn't.

Let's please try and avoid use of offensive, potentially baiting terms like 'wog'. It's a tricky word since in some versions of English (particularly Australian English), it's lost much of its derogatory meaning, and is more of an ethnic - rather than racist - term. But many people in the UK find it exceptionally offensive.

And you perhaps haven't spent much time in the North End recently.

From what I can tell it's lessened in severity, but remains a handy way to get your head smashed in depending on where and what context you use it in.

Actually, I did... but I don't know what England calls its "state-supported schools", so I hoped that fact that almost all of you know I'm an American would let you guess what I meant.

Really inane nitpick but "Public School" in UKian actually means a participant in the Headmasters and Headmistresses Conference

You're making me think of my friend who thought Frankenstein was Anne Frank's autobiography. A while back, we were on a bus and she spent the whole ride talking loudly about how much of a slut her sister was and talking to children. Just as we arrived at our destination, she said loudly "Yeah, but, um, I'm really shy" and the whole bus started laughing.

I believe immigration and multiculturalism destroys the local identities, cultures, languages, etc, of those areas/countries havily affected by it. I am against it, as you see, but I still think immigrants should be met with respect by the locals, and not be attacked due to the liberal immigration-policy the government has. Yet, they should still, if they refuse to, be forced to work for and contribute to the society like anybody else, and they should be forced to intigrate (learning the language, history, culture, etc) into the society even if they reject to do so. I do also believe that immigration should be very restricted, and, therfore, have to accept and support the term "Britain for British", and turn my back on immigrants in this case.

So we cannot intergrate with them so there is a lot of tension.

Why not, accept that they are different? Oh wait, that's impossible.

You want politics to get involved? :palm: No, no you don't.

Who plan to send them all home and bring back corporal punishment, are getting votes so immigrants that want to stay adapt to western culture ,wear western clothes , stop wearing the burka and speak English please.

Yes, because everyone (Namely the massive Indo-Briton population) are from nations with corporal punishment, corrupt dictatorships and lands fulll of dangerious drugs.
Why would you want to totally convert them? They are different, so are you, suck it up.

I do not consider myself a racist or vote for the bnp or care what your accusations are.

You know it's not a good sign when you end with "not caring about people's accusations".

Given that I'm about to become involved in the thread, I'll hand off moderation duties to other mods if this thread requires it.

But... where, precisely, does the OP think the Angles, Saxons, and Jutes originally came from? Northamptonshire?

Yes, this would have been more technically accurate (writes an old boy of a fee-paying school in Edinburgh).

It happens all the time, in similar situations. Compare Maori here in New Zealand (who arrived at around the same time-ish). Except it isn't okay to say they're immigrants because instead of being educated you're a racist. (Also note it's fine to call someone a Pakeha, a most ambiguous turn that many, such as myself, find offensive.) Basically it boils down to whatever point they're making at the time.

British couple move to New Zealand.

True, but the basic point is that Britain's been subject to waves of immigrants for centuries. After all, the Scots were originally from Ireland.

And the Norwegians didn't 'almost' conquer Britain at Stamford Bridge; it was about as one-sided a rout as you're ever likely to see in medieval British history; largely because the Norwegians had taken most of their armour off due to the unseasonably warm weather. Out of an invasion fleet of 300 ships, only 24 returned to Norway. And even then Harald's claim to the throne was pitifully thin; he only invaded because Harold Godwinson's brother Tostig was in a snit and had asked for outside help.

I find the idea of a tsunami of immigrants engulfing and invading the UK to be somewhat of a hyperbole.

However, there is a problem with the integration of certain minority groups.

I attribute this due to the lack of national values, national cultures and national ideologies in the west and the isolation of certain groups from the rest of society(Ghettos, etc.), and the general acceptance for their absence and the isolation prevalent a great deal of the western world.

Personally I am in favour of appending a national culture, system of values and national ideology to the cultural fabric of the United Kingdom.
