I understand. I tend to get a little upset when faith try and dictate politic, when the western world spent nearly a millennium in a such a state, and look at want life was like then.

We could send him to Ry'leh.

Yes, yes, no one listens to Rush, right? He's just an entertainer, just saying things to get a laugh and ratings. Uh huh. If you believe that, I have the exclusive deed to this bridge in New York City, I can let you have it for very little money.

When was birth control expensive? I mean condoms are but there are plenty of other choices. The implant costs nothing and neither does the pill..
Or is that just because of the NHS.... I'm afraid I don't know much about other countries healthcare systems![]()
So... if a woman wants to be sexually active then why can't she get the implant...? Surely that's not going to break the bank and it lasts for 3 years.
Oh and don't even get me started on what Rush said.... to even come the such a conclusion baffles me. I just don't even... Catholics, why are they so weird... why do people think more and more babies is a good thing...
oh dear. I just don't even know

The pill is not just prescribed for contraceptive purposes. There is an entire range of health and hormonal conditions that the pill is used to treat.

The Pill costs the same no matter if you have sex one time per year, or three times a night.

Rachel Maddow did a show on this -- how Rush is too stupid to understand how birth control works.
So for those who are unaware:
IT'S NOT LIKE A CONDOM WHERE YOU NEED A NEW ONE FOR EVERY INSTANCE OF SEX YOU HAVE.
IT"S NOT LIKE SPERMICIDAL JELLY WHERE YOU NEED TO REAPPLY FOR EVERY INSTANCE OF SEX YOU HAVE.
YOU TAKE ONE A DAY FOR THREE WEEKS, THEN YOU TAKE PLACEBO PILLS FOR A WEEK SO YOU GET YOUR PERIOD, AND THEN YOU START TAKING THE BIRTH CONTROL PILL AGAIN.
IT IS NO DIFFERENT THAN SOMEONE TAKING A PRESCRIPTION DRUG THEIR DOCTOR HAS PRESCRIBED DAILY, SUCH AS BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION, HEART MEDICATION, OR INSULIN.
I apologize for shouting. Apparently, though, it works for Rush so I figured I'd go with a form of communication his followers are used to. Maybe I should go back and edit in some gratuitous and vile insults....

Wait, you mean I don't have to take a Heart Medication pill for every beat of my heart? Well, golly are my medical expenses going to drop now.

Nope, your not Rush Limbaugh either though, I think he needs a pill for every instance his cold dead heart deigns to make an attempt at beating.

What's the point of taking placebo pills for a week if you know they're placebos?

Jadey Jadey Jadey, do not interject reality into a debate about how all women on birth control are sluts; its unseemly and might make Mr. Limblob have to take more pills.
