Technically... Yes. Babies are not fully 'all there'. But most of them can become so.
Of course, I do have a problem with the whole 'Babies are born without religion so that means religion isn't real' argument because babies are also born without knowledge of math, law, morals, or ice cream, and yet most would say those exist.

Trotskylvania wrote:Hell is being serious and earnest about an idea, and then joining a group to advance that idea, and then finding it to be nothing but stupid committee meetings where the local group leader talks about the importance of the party line... It's like being in a monastery without the religious experience, only the endless drudgery of your dreams dying one by one.
In short, Hell is other leftists.

Just because these people are stupid, wrong and highly dangerous does not mean you have the right to make them feel sad.

At least, in my experience at least.

As for the topic, one could certainly argue that religion is a mental illness, if you accept that religion is disconnected or tangential to reality. If you don't you're unlikely to argue that religion is a mental illness.
As such I would call religion something, though mental illness is perhaps too strong a word.Technically... Yes. Babies are not fully 'all there'. But most of them can become so.

Yes, but they are all human social constructs, used to explain the world. (Or regulate, or give diabetes too, whatever). So religion is real, but it's made up. Like math.
As for religion being right....

A formal calculation is one carried out using rules of arithmetic, without consideration of whether the result of the calculation is well-defined.

In other words, 1/0 is not equal to any infinity.

To be honest, I'm not sure Anti-Obama knows Neon Genesis Evangelion well enough to find that threatening. God knows I had to wiki it.
