This.

Sure it might be hard to parallel park, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

With all the reproductions of cars out there I'm surprised I don't see any of these...though I guess it would be like a velvet Mona Lisa, leave well enough alone.

if i could upload directly from my drive i'd show you mine.
as it is, if anyone wants to go to biorust, 3d gallery, themnax(me), there are multiple images of them there.

yes they run on rails. no the are not the proportions of conventional railways. no they are not larger.
they are smaller. MUCH smaller.

but still very much capable of being a practical and enjoyable means of mobility.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

It occurred to me that I have never checked for a reproduction/clone of the Bugatti and did a google search...I didn't find one, but I found this stunner-

It's a rebodied 1925 Rolls Royce. (rebodied in 1934)

Very true. The style of late 20's/early 30's cars was unique. They really knew how to make damn-fine looking cars in those days. Unlike the cookie-cutter models out now.
Shame you didn't have a spare €3.5 million Euros around earlier this year. You could've picked one of those beauties up:

I read about that find a while ago. It's widely accepted among those who know me that it's a good thing I'm not the one who found it because I would have kept it despite being dirt fucking poor. But how awesome would it be to roll up to my 'just this side of minimum wage' job in a fucking Bugatti Type 57? There's already tension generated by the fact that I insist on doing that in a 40+ year old camper...

I would have done the same. There's some things money can't buy, and one of them would be the sheer enjoyment of driving around in a Bugatti type 57.
It being in a garage for 50 years reminded when I was a builder's laborer to help me through uni. I was helping out on the restoration of a 120 yr old villa. We were sat round one lunch time discussing things we found working in such places (I'd found a solid gold ring which I gave to my mum). One of other laborers said one job he had to clean out some hermit's place after he died. He was a real hoarder - newspapers from 30 years ago stacked to the ceiling sort of thing. His nephew told the guy to chuck everything in the skip. He was also told if he wanted any of the furniture etc he was welcome to it.
The guy started by cleaning out the garage. At the back of which he found a 1928 Indian Scout, which no-one knew the old guy had. To his credit, he told the nephew and didn't just sneak off with it.
I know I'd be really tempted to.

"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

I could swear that this was a prop in some movie some time ago. It's really familiar.

It actually passed by me no more than five feet away. Fucking awesome. Having said that, it was depressing to listen to the bids jump up the price of a house at a time.
