I have two dream vehicles. You know, something simple that gets me from A to B, something like a T-90 MBT or a WWII German King Tiger (with a better engine of course).

Something by Ducati - whichever one that looks most similar to the one Natsuki rides in Mai HiME
"Grasping the relation of the infinite and self is an act of faith. Essentially, in virtue of absurdity, we can have both the infinite and the self in perspective and be a knight of faith. Freedom is being a ‘self’ as one wills to be… ‘Duty is the expression of God’s will’…but can’t… Can’t God be, subjectively, something or someone else? Acting for them, in duty to them, could still let us have faith. Being a knight of faith for them would mean determining your relation to the universal to your relation to the absolute"

They realized in the early 1990s that the only thing more dangerous than people driving is people driving at high speed in three dimensions. The real flaw with flying vehicles for everyone is the quality of everyone. Once we figure out how to make them pilot themselves then we're good. :)

I agree. We'd also need to bring down the cost of flying. There's a reason you don't see a Cessna and Piper in every driveway. $$$.

Oh God no, my car accident tonight reinforce the idea that people do not need a 3rd dimension added into driving.

hydogen pintos in the sky. i can see it now. fourth of july every day.

big oil IS the robber barony of this century. they WANT us to persue the yet to be practical to mass produce fuel cell though. to distract us from the practical and reliable use of photovoltaics, among other things.

the jetpack problem is that it takes a pretty hefty guy to carry a jetpack on his back with enough fuel in it to just barely make it across a relatively not so wide river. rocket man was/is something of a fantasy.

of course anyone WANTS to walk around with that much HYDROGEN on their back ...
um, ok if i just watch?

All my dreams are crushed, still I suppose going round with a lot of hydrogen peroxide strapped to my body is likely to get me shot as a potential suicide bomber.
