Dream Vehicle

Postby Gauntleted Fist » Sun Sep 13, 2009 9:36 pm

All of you know about it.

Most of you have one.

I'm talking about your "dream car/bike/etc."

If you could have any vehicle that could be made with modern (or older) technology, what would you have?

I'd like something gas-efficient. I got this close to buying a Toyota Yaris, but it slipped away. :(

And for some reason, I've fixated on the Kia Rio for years.

I couldn't get a Kia Rio if I wanted one. (I don't.) Insurance for me on one would be almost twice what I'm paying now.

As for future-tech vehicles, something that uses biodegradable fuels but is still cute.
Modern or old tech, not future. ;)

My current ride is one of my dream rides,

Her name is Veronica.

There is a long a varied list of cars that I dream of that would make this post obnoxious to read, so I'll just pick one from the list, one that's pretty much always been on it and I'll probably never own because the price is prohibitive (at a certain point the car becomes to valuable to drive and I just can't have a car I wouldn't drive anywhere)

A 904, one of the last streetable race cars. I know I said one, but I couldn't have this post not have a Porsche in it.

BMW 850CSi. Hell. Yes. I'd settle for any 8 Series, though; at least temporarily. I am putting an 850CSi in my garage someday, though.

The Lamborghini LM002 deserves an honorable mention as well.

I love that car. But for Batmobile, I have to go with the Tatra 77

Alright, OG Batmobile, but still.

The art deco cars prompt me to include another of my dream cars, less likely than the others-

If they were legal in HK I would quite happily use a Segway,
I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I can't choose one... there's just a plethora of cars I dream of and drool over...

Although my modern dream car would be a Maserati GranTurismo S or a Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. Or perhaps a Bentley Continental GT Speed.

Since everyone seems so fixated on cars:

I would like to own/be able to fly one of these.

It would be awesome. (Chances of this actually happening? Probably less than 0.1%.)

Dream car:

Porsche Avalanche GT2. Great car, and the burnt orange is a nice color.

I want one of those velomobiles. The fully encapsulated ones with assist for hills. They are kinda like small human powered cars :)

This is not the one I want but it is a similar idea.
