I'm curious now.

Doing what all archaeologists do with their spare time....
You know, swinging through the jungle near some lost tropical city, rescuing some lost gold idol deep within the city's largest vine-covered pyramid after evading all of the traps, and then narrowly escaping from the local tribesmen and their poisoned darts after being betrayed by my archrival.
It's a humdrum sort of existence.
Anyway, must dash - I have an appointment with some Nazis in Egypt.

You're an archaeologist? Cool! Did you specialize in something in particular?

The Archregimancy wrote:I still do specialise.
My doctoral thesis was on the comparative trans-Atlantic analysis of Late 18th- and 19th-Century ceramics.
I also wrote a book on British ceramics in Australia, and have written several published papers on ideological meaning in the analysis of ceramics decoration and the global ceramics trade.
However, I also teach several basic introduction to archaeology courses (both campus-based and distance-learning) at my institution, so have to have a good grasp of the discipline generally - and so occasionally amuse myself by posting in those rare archaeology threads on NSG.
The rest of the time, I swing through the jungle near some lost tropical city, rescue some lost gold idol deep within the city's largest vine-covered pyramid after evading all of the traps, and then narrowly escape from the local tribesmen and their poisoned darts after being betrayed by my archrival.

Ya, muchos líquidos y mucho descanso que se acerca la temporadita de influenza de tipo 1. Esa sí mata más gente que H1N1.
Todo bien paisanuka, mucho curro, mucha botella y en conteo regresivo.
