How the hell do most of my people die?

Exposure is 27% upon making this. At first I thought it was that people died of cold as they were poor. Then I saw that hypothermia was already coded into the game. So I assumed it meant starvation expect that was coded in as well. So, what does it mean? Is it just like dying of old age but with the added shame of having no money? Is it suicide because your business was too exposed to the market and failed? Is it dead from harsh working conditions (actually, that kinda makes sense)? I'm not sure. Would like to know. Cheers.

"Exposure" as a cause of death can mean anything from sunburn to hypothermia, it's a term that's used for the state of poor health resulting from long periods with no protection from the weather. Hypothermia implies a single incident of misadventure which led to a freezing death.

So, death from inadequate protection from the environment, whether from poverty, lethal environment or just been too young to survive. Fair enough. I'll just think of it as a catch all term for "Pursued Happiness but it got away".
