My experience is that Muslims are good people. That doesn't mean that some aren't bad.

My personal view, as a formerly religious person myself who knows the pain of losing faith, is that I will respect someone's beliefs and right to hold those beliefs under the conditions that

a) They aren't harming themselves with those beliefs (Religion can be good, it can also be bad)
b) They aren't harming others because of their beliefs.

Apart from that people can believe the world is flat and made out of candy for all I care.

See, and the cool thing is, I actually don't give a shit if you "respect" my science and reason...because science will work whether you show respect to it or not.

You can talk shit about my antibiotics all day long, and they'll still cure your infection. You can hate on my circuit theory as much as you want, and share your hate using the computer that only works because of said circuit theory. You can disbelieve evolutionary biology, and your car that is powered by the remains of the dinosaurs will still run just as well as it would for me.

I require your basic courtesy and respect, of the sort that we all must show each other in order to live on the same planet and get through the day. But my beliefs don't need your respect. My beliefs work just as well regardless, and frankly I kinda get a kick out of watching my science work anyhow even when people are disrespecting it.

Eh, I'm American, so the people who hate love and creativity around here are mostly Christians. The godless are the ones who slut around and make all the best movies.

You know I find this topic very interesting. I personally have no formal religion, I do believe there may be a greater power, but do not see the need to worship one wholesome belief. My fiance is Roman Catholic and has been all her life, she is accepting of who I am, and we have a child together. We usually have the occasional discussion about the church, and how uptight some religions are, but how without religion sometimes its for the worse. In a way, I like the order of most religions, how there is a power setup for people. In some ways most religions say they are 'accepting', when all they have to say is spiteful things. (Being our child is born before marriage) I feel that religion as a whole needs to be respected, but there needs to be some serious compromise in religious beliefs. This is why I can never pick one devout religion, I would be ashamed of some of the beliefs of any of the religions. Though I do respect all religions, all gods, and most living beings. I feel that all aspects of religion should be forever respected, for some people it is past the fact of the belief, and more tradition in a way.

*On a side note: How can you be pro-abortion? Especially up to 24 weeks. When you kill that child up to 18 weeks that child can feel itself die. How can you kill a child?

You do not have a formal religion and you are to be married to a RC? Do you/she know that Canon law prohibts Catholics from marrying outside of the faith? A Catholic may marry another Catholic or a non-Catholic Christian (so long as they are baptized, which 99% of Christian churches do so really any Christian.)

Unless you have a dispensation from the Pope or Bishop of the Diocese. Are you guys planning to marry outside the Church? Not trying to pry but I know alot of Catholics who legitimately do not know that marrying non-Catholics/Christians is not allowed.

Oh I know, I am getting married elsewhere. The Church does not like me, and probably won't like her coming very soon. My child is baptised though, did not know how that one worked. We did baptise her though so she can go to church with my wife, and grow up Roman catholic just like her mother. I, on the other hand, will make my saturdays and sunday's busy with work elsewhere. I will educate her in both paths. Though my future wife is hesistant, she knows to accept whatever our daughter/ future children's paths. As long as their not a 4/20 idiot, I am okay with it. We are fully aware of the Church's view, and we have made preparations elsewhere to be married. Honestly, I love the place we got a lot better than the churchs in the area.
