Education problem

Postby Holaloperho » Fri Feb 10, 2012 11:43 pm

I am a student trying to get into a collage in US or Canada and I am a junior for the moment. What collage should I pick if I have a GPA of 2.7, 4 AP exam with score of 5 and a ACT score of 24.
I prefer smaller college which don't cost a lot of money and my major will be economy or political science.

Community college. Or work a miracle in your senior year to adjust your GPA.

But a community college will allow you to 'reset' yourself a little bit, allowing you to get into a better school (I went from having to be helped into a CSU to getting into a UC) plus you'll do all the lower division shit for way, way less money and, should you change your major, not a big deal.

Also, when you get to the university you can focus on the classes you give a shit about. The drawback is you're johnnie come lately, all the students that started there know everyone already, including the teachers, have taken foundation classes while doing their lower division work etc. But, as long as you give a shit, you can overcome all of this.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

You're going nowhere except maybe a local college with those grades. The way I understand it, universities look at your sophomore and junior years to determine your GPA. Sorry, but a 2.7 will get you nowhere in life. Heck, I'm going to have to get 2,200 on my SAT if I want to go anywhere respectable with my 3.5 GPA. I'm not entirely sure how an ACT 24 translates.

You're better off talking to college councilors than NSG I'm afraid.
To those who feel, life is a tragedy. To those who think, it's a comedy.
