I' m aware, overtraining, to my logic anyways, is fatigue.

whenevery you train you in reality breaks down you msuscels. so that when rested they grow stronger then they ware before you trained them.
when you overtrain your muscles dont have the time to heal between your training intervalls. making you weaker the more you train.
GOD MODE is cheating. You might win if you cheat, but the victory won't be much fun. Also I don't spell check my OCC comments, so don't judge me, don't tell me, don't ask me.

I hate running. The rare times my fiancee persuaded me to go running, my goal was lasting 1 second more than her. Which means something in the range of 121 seconds give or take.

I prefer bicycles.

Depends on the day. I don't aim for a longer amount of distance every day. I have my routes mapped out, so most of the time, I work on getting a better time with the same route. Then the next week or a few weeks later, I add another small amount on to it. All in all, I usually do 4-5 miles a day when I do run. I make a goal time, but I would never have a rigid time frame to work with.
