The same thing you do with christians who are not christ-like. I am an atheist, but I can understand the idea of a personal failing. I can understand how someone can have ideals and not live up to their own ideals by being too weak. But not living up to one's constructive values is not quite the same thing as having values which are destructive.

For example, I try to eat right. But sometimes, I still find myself eating junk. That's not quite the same as someone who eats junk all the time.

There's probably a difference between having a big mac and doing meth off a rent boy's ass.

From what perspective, an ethical one? Because cows in factory farms might prefer the latter...

Cows can go fuck themselves sideways until they become people.

While I agree with the anthropocentric perspective, I'm just saying that which is worse depends on from what angle you're looking at it. Prostitution is arguably a victimless crime, unless you're referring specifically to people who cheat on their spouses with prostitutes. (And even then, the extent of victimization is debatable) As for meth, it's considered one of the more dangerous drugs, but it's understandable that some people won't heed the warnings in a society that exaggerates the dangers of other illegal drugs as well.

Anyway, it was more of a side-comment than anything. Perhaps it may be best not to let the thread get sidetracked.

What to do we do with them?

What do you mean "we"?
Non-Republicans should shut-the-fuck-up and let Republicans deal with this stain on their honor.
Non-Republicans do not have near the same history of policing thier ranks as the Republicans do.

The difference is that the 'rats are already supposed to spend their free time cheating on their wives in whorehouses anyway, so no one's surprised when they're doing it.

But the reps try not to, hence the media outcry when one of them is dishonest.

It's like with the priests. Just because a few were caught molesting kids doesn't mean it's what all priests do, and in fact likely have far lower rate of such crimes (and all crimes), and it certainly doesn't make Christianity about molesting people - but the media will make you believe it is.

Because those priests put themselves on the pedastal, like the Republicans...

If they dont like the media making them out to be like that, they should maybe consider stepping down from it, ;)

Yeah, when you don't get rid of someone who drove off a bridge, left a woman to die, goes home to sleep it off and doesn't tell anyone about the incident until the next morning, that party obviously doesn't have high standards to enforce.

Hey, I take offence at the term "whore". Escorts should not be referred to in such vulgar terms. MODS!!!
(jk, jk) :p

Seriously, though. Enough with the interest in others' private lives. Judge politicians on their ability to govern and on their positions on issues. I know that's a tough pill for most Americans to swallow (no pun intended), but it's necessary if a country is to progress. That being said, I do love the irony and the poetic justice that these self-righteous religious wackos always seem to be the most "sexually deviant" people there are. "The brighter the light, the darker the shadow." Too bad such revelations don't cause their entire "morality/family 'values'" movement to be exposed for the utter hypocritical horse-shit that it is.
