So, if you had a regime that had complete power, suppressing opposition and criticism, emphasizing aggressive nationalism (and possibly racism) that also had an economic system by which the government owned, ran, and regimented all industry and commerce, it could be said to be a fascist communist state, yes?

So, it's not so much a choice between two if you could have both simultaneously.

communism IS a lot better than fascism in my opinion (read it again before saying something stupid it's MY OPINION)\
with communism at least everyone is equal, with fascism you have the übermensch which is just a load of hokey. everyone is equal no matter what race, religion or whatever they are. everyone should have an even and fair chance in life. we do that because we are civilized.

Fascism is just a stronger way of going about things.

Communism can never work because no one is truly equal, the powerful will always strive for power. And the most powerful become Faschist.
Faschism has only failed because it has had evil or just plain stupid leaders. Hitler was a very powerful man, but stupid. If he hadn't tried to commit genocide on jews so early and anger the WHOLE world, the reich would still stand. Communism will always lead to a dictatorship or anarchy. Or both. Faschism leads to an epic empire spanning thousands of years with the right leader. With the wrong leader it will lead to failure.

That was Nazism.

National Socialism was a form of fascism, though, it was just a racist and genocidal form. Most of the fascists didn't have the racial platform. The only thing a government really requires to be fascist would be a Corporatist economic system coupled with extreme nationalism and power at least centralized in a central authority figure, even if it's not totally concentrated there.
