Without nations, there'd be no laws to protect people. Instead of large groups of people killing large groups of people, you'd have small groups of people killing small groups of people. With no laws relating to how it should be done. :meh:

I've never seen a nation that was not founded on aggressive violence and support of hierarchy. Can you show me one? This topic is about what nation you would defend in real life. Not about what you don't like about other peoples sigs.

Lets see of the list. I would defend all of the EU nation listed because they are historic friends and allies(mostly).
Japan. South Korea, because they rule. Mexico and Canada because they are close by.

-Poland (It's suffered enough)
-Ireland (Also has suffered enough)
-Denmark

While I agree about the relative value of bankers and even lawyers (although i am one, retired), I want to share a little data with you.

"Steel exports constitute one quarter of the value of Luxembourg's export trade. Luxembourg is home to the ArcelorMittal group (previously known as ARBED), the largest private employer in the country and the number one steel company in the world with a turnover of 88.6 billion dollars in 2006."

And it is not US steel but Luxembourg steel that is used to rebuild One World Trade Center in NYC

Songri deserves to be taken as seriously as a heart attack suffered while piloting a zeppelin over a bacon factory. Which is the most serious of heart attacks, because if that zepplin crashes into that bacon factory, all of us will be without bacon.

And that simply will not do.

98% of all internet users would cry if facebook broke down. If you are the 2% who would sit back and laugh, copy and paste this into your sig.

Following new legislation in Songri, the nation's diplomatic missives are now delivered via sniper rifle.

I was attending seminary in Pittsburgh when the city decided to tear down and replace the large Highland Park Bridge over the Allegheny River. I used that bridge to commute to school.

The city awarded the contract to a major local employer, US Steel, but cancelled the contract when it was recealed that US Steel was going to buy the steel for the bridge from Japan!

Hey folks, let's start taking care of America and Americans again.

UK, Canada, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Germany, France, and Spain in that order.

It would depend entirely on the situation.

For example:

If the UK invaded France, and the French turned round and kicked the shit out of the UK - the US shouldn't step in to support the UK.

They should point, smirk, and say, "well, you did kinda ask for that".

Shahinesian States, don't say that. Israel had done things that I'm sure we all disagree with but wishing death? That is not very appropriate and makes it seem that you may be antisemitic. It is probably best if you reword what you wrote in the form of a rational argument.

Not surprisingly, those over age 60 were least likely to support our old Axis enemies.
