No, I just throw them in a bonfire for a second, then I take it out and hurl it into a pond. I've done it to the American one tons of times.

Are you also known as Osama Bin Laden?

Also, 'Revolutionary', what revolution do you support?

A Benevolent Socialist Dictatorship with me as the head. Needless to say, we have only 20 members in a city of 500000 people.

None. I'm not a Patriot. However, if I were forced to defend my home, I would do that.

All was dark when the armies surrounded the town. There was little bloodshed as they swept in, and they quickly took control. "Success," said a communicator, "a base has been established."

OOC:There. Now, we'll wait for UK to catch up.

Not really, no.

I'd take the US Constitution over the Canadian Charter, and America's Congress over Canada's Parliment. Also, as an American I can vote for different parties for President and for Congress if I want to. That's a freedom I don't have in Canada, where your vote for Member of Parliment is also your vote for Prime Minister.
"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

Would you hate Israel because it's very existance (and total pwnage of A-rab states) defies your religious text (I'd have harsher terms such as rag, but I think that's against the rules) commonly known today as the Quran?

I do wish we could get rid of Israel because it pisses practically everyone off, but then where would we put the israelis? Surely not America?

That's probably the reason why it is not on the list. Hehe. *evil laughter*

Or because the OP is an American perchance...

So? As an American he knows that few would like to defend his or her country. *more evil laughter*
I always thought you had an evil, twisted mind, HK. Now I see that I'm right. How deliciously awesome. ;)

Abdju wrote:United Kingdom - I'm a UK citizen, so it's a bit of a no brainer.
France - Because they should be to the UK what we like to believe America is.
Egypt - I'd have to work at it to care less about modern Egypt (OMGs, what a clusterfuck) than I already do, but I'd willingly defend it's heritage.
China - As above
Greece - It's a beautiful nation with a bright future and an interesting past, despite the Macedonian elements, which I'll overlook for now.
Jordan and Qatar - Both places I have respect for.

On the other hand, there's some whose demise or weakening I'd regard as beneficial

Isreal - Antagonises an already complex region and is the most serious and immediate threat to Egypt. Occupied the Sinai, aggressive and a loose cannon. Every region has the local psychopath, and for the Mideast and North Africa, it's them.

US - Funnels weapons to the above, causing regional instability, then tries to profit from it by selling weapons to all states likely to be on the receiving end of the regional psychopath, then accuses them on "not wanting peace".

Indonesia - Because life can be like a game of Lemmings. Sometimes the situation is so far gone you might as well nuke that level and start again... including Batam.

Nigeria - As above.

Burma - Using slave labour to rebuild the Burma railway is just fucking twisted.
Wait a minute...you would *defend* China yet condemn Burma because of the slave labour issue? Isn't that rather hypocritical? Never mind all the horrible things the PRC government does to its own people, what about the fact that the Chinese sell weapons to the Burmese military and help keep it in power? They do the same with Sudan for Christ's sake!

Yeah...except you can't vote for more than two parties, and not everyone who is a citizen can vote, and your Constitution offers shit in the way of civil liberties compared to the Charter, and timed elections allow lame-duck legislatures, and the US President has much more power than the Canadian PM, meaning more lack of restraint and less attention to the rule of law, and voting is carried-out in a different manner in every municipality, with different rules as to who can vote, how they can vote, and how such votes are counted, versus here we have a non-political federal electoral commission that oversees voting -- everyone votes the same way in every riding, and in the US there's too much nonsense on ballots -- water supervisor, sheriff, electoral supervisor, judges (yeah, you should politicise elections commissions and law enforcement and the judiciary -- that makes loads of sense) -- not to mention the fetish with allowing people to vote for pieces of legislation -- California's the poster child for why that's a bad idea... I could go on and on...

It has little to do with who is being attacked, it has more to do with who is attacking them and why.

...I could see myself helping to defend nearly any country, given the right circumstances.

Except for North Korea...fuck them. :p
