That's probably the reason why it is not on the list. Hehe. *evil laughter*

So? As an American he knows that few would like to defend his or her country. *more evil laughter*

The invasion plans were submitted to the UN a few days ago - it's currently undergoing review by a committee.

I would have thought it wasn't on the list because the OP was American, and either didn't consider the possibility of people from other countries posting or was intending to ask the Americans only.

I wouldn't want to militarily support the US, for a number of reasons.

Reason 1) You guys are big meanies, just like McDonalds/I have a subconscious obligation to dislike America as a whole for no understandable reason.

Reason 2) One less global superpower in the world is a good thing.
Sort of.

Reason 3) Whatever country it is that the US would actually require support in fighting against to not lose, would be able to wipe the floor with my small ass country. And I like my country when it's not being used to wipe the floor.

What real life nations would you defend?

None.

Why should I risk my life for another country? I would barely do it for my own country, although it would depend about the situation. If my country would be on the 'bad' side, then I would not defend it. Assume that my country would install a Nazi regime and other countries invade it, then I would not defend it.

United Kingdom - I'm a UK citizen, so it's a bit of a no brainer.
France - Because they should be to the UK what we like to believe America is.
Egypt - I'd have to work at it to care less about modern Egypt (OMGs, what a clusterfuck) than I already do, but I'd willingly defend it's heritage.
China - As above
Greece - It's a beautiful nation with a bright future and an interesting past, despite the Macedonian elements, which I'll overlook for now.
Jordan and Qatar - Both places I have respect for.

On the other hand, there's some whose demise or weakening I'd regard as beneficial

Isreal - Antagonises an already complex region and is the most serious and immediate threat to Egypt. Occupied the Sinai, aggressive and a loose cannon. Every region has the local psychopath, and for the Mideast and North Africa, it's them.

US - Funnels weapons to the above, causing regional instability, then tries to profit from it by selling weapons to all states likely to be on the receiving end of the regional psychopath, then accuses them on "not wanting peace".

Indonesia - Because life can be like a game of Lemmings. Sometimes the situation is so far gone you might as well nuke that level and start again... including Batam.

Nigeria - As above.

Burma - Using slave labour to rebuild the Burma railway is just fucking twisted.

Left/Right -5.25 | Auth/Lib: +2.57 |
"Objectivism really is a Fountainhead of philosophical diarrhea" - derscon
"God Hates Fags But Says It's Okay to Double Dip" - Gauthier

Great Nepal - Tax supporting environment are useless, we can live without it.
Great Nepal - Lions can't fly. Therefore, eagles are superior.
Turan Cumhuriyeti - no you presented lower quality of brain
Greed and Death - Spanish was an Amerindian language.
Sungai Pusat - No, I know exactly what happened. The Titanic had left USA's shores and somewhere near the Arctic Circle
Derscon - I let Jews handle my money, not my penis.
Fevolo - i'm not talking about catholics. i'm talking about christians.

Go ahead then, doom yourself.

You'll be helpless without the aid of our 14 state of-the-art UH-1 Iroquois helicopters!
Helpless I tell you!

I'd rather call up the Australian Boy Scouts before I'd ask the NZ military for help. And we'd die gladly for our great nation, with joy in our hearts and kiwi sheep jokes on our lips... :p

In Europe: Any EU country, plus our neighbours Switzerland, Norway, Albania, Iceland, the Faer Oer, the former Yugoslav republics (with the exception of Kosovo whose independence I still consider unlawful), the former Soviet republics (with the exception of Belarus and of Georgia because of the jerks that rule those countries).

Outside Europe: well, many countries... but still Vietnam deserve my unconditioned support, as the toughest fighters ever, who dealt, in sequence, with: Japan, France, US and allies, China and the Khmer Rouge. In just 40 years. Wow.
