-Total annual income for the Jones family: $21,700
-Amount of money the Jones family spent: $38,200
-Amount of new debt added to the credit card: $16,500
-Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710

-Amount cut from the budget: $385

Whoowee my Bears are rolling. If someone had told me it'd be 30-6 over Atlanta with 11 minutes to go I'd have called them crazy!

Why?

I haven't been keeping eyes on the season so far only knowing the Packer's won the season opener.

Well it does suck to be an Steelers fan then, but hey they could recover from that.

Wow. Anyone else notice how LeSean McCoy looked like DeSean Jackson speed-wise? 4 more points:

1. Missed the 1st half for my soccer game. :(
2. Didn't replace Arian Foster. Also a result of my soccer game. :(
3. @ the Bills.
4. Watched part of the Jets-Cowboys game. The Boys are still the biggest chokers I know. :)

So the Panthers lost their first game, but honestly they did awesome. They did better than I thought they would. I thought it was going to be a wash, but Cam Newton showed what he was capable of, as well as the defensive line. I doubt we'll make the playoffs, but I think this team will have a respectable season, with maybe the 2012-2013 season being a playoff year for them.

Well, they got Seattle next week so we should see the Steelers turn up in that one.

The Chargers just refuse to win a game comfortably all the way though. Always have to scare everyone.

Where are those touchbacks I was promised.

...Cam Newton!? The fuck?! Over 400 yards?! The fuck happened?!

And I had Steve Smith on the bench for my ff game.

Whoops.

Oh he just smashed all the records for a QBs first nfl game, threw for more yards than some top QBs have in any game of their career and all that jazz.

Rex Grossman was also good and Tarvaris JAckson wasn't totally horrible.

It's a scary world :(

The Arizona pass defense happened.

Yeah. But still, that's a huge game for someone I thought would be mediocre this season. I won't jump the gun though, there's still plenty of time against much better opponents. On another note - throwing for 420 some yards and still losing? Come on now, Carolina.

Yea, it'd be interesting to see if Cam Newton can keep up the momentum he built from yesterday's game and turn it into a win against the Green Bay Packers.

It's not uncommon for throwing for 400 yards to correlate with losing, because a lot of times when someone throws for 400 yards it's because they're in a big hole and have to get out of it in a hurry.

Is anyone else besides this hardcore Jaguars fan surprised by the play of them in their first game? Luke McCown pulled off the game with aplomb, and it was really nice to see that we have a good back up to MoJo. I mean come on, Deji Karim looked like a powerhouse out there.

But in a loss by only 7 (and it being close throughout)? I mean, the Panthers were up 21-14 going in to the fourth quarter and Newton still had almost 40 pass attempts? I mean, when you've got Williams and Stewart, probably the best RB combo in the NFL, why on earth would you only run the ball a total of 19 teams? That's a 2:1 pass to run ratio.
