From the link in that article. That's pretty impressive,

Yeah, I remember that game; I was twelve then. Arizona and Indy both had three wins going into the last week; Indy lost and Arizona won theirs, giving us the first pick.

I remember Dad saying after the game, "Oh, well. As long as they don't take Leaf, it'll get better next year."

Well...it didn't right away, but the year after.

God, Ryan Leaf redefined the term draft bust.

Seconded. Hell, don't even draft or touch your team if you don't want to, but we need that 8th member so we can draft.

I don't think you want me in your league, I'm in one with a few IRL friends, but my team is literally all Saints Players.

I don't generally believe in the concept of Fantasy Football, it tears the loyalties. My little brother actually wanted the FALCONS to do well last year because he had Turner and Gonzales on his fantasy team, :lol2:

The worst part of that year was, we were just two years removed from making the Super Bowl had the cheating Pittsburgh Cheating Stealers not cheated.

FACT: Aaron Bailey caught it.
FACT: Kordell Stewart ran out of bounds of his own volition.

Oh, see, I will not start any player that is playing against the Bears. I just won't do it. It kills me. I'd rather take a fantasy loss than have to deal with the self-loathing.

I'm gonna be the first to ask it...What the hell Sean Payton? Up the middle, REALLY? Could you be more needlessly conservative? What happened to your nerve? What happened to the guy that called an onside kick in the Superbowl? Are you the same guy? I mean the whole world saw that coming, my dead grandmother saw that coming. I don't claim to be a good play caller or anything, but come on, anything but such obvious shit. Especially in a situation like that.

*sigh*, but other than that it was a really close game and as far as the season goes I'm still not too worried. But still though, the defense needs to step it up, Vilma and Jenkins can't be the only players on the field, dammit. And the O-Line can't be letting Brees have guys in his face so much, I mean he handled it well, but when it's every other play there's only so much you can do.

On the positive side though, the Running backs look amazing, they keep playing like that and we're going places, Sproles is the man, and both Thomas and Ingram had great games.

But seriously, if Payton gets in another situation like that and just throws it away by running up the middle again, I'm gonna be pissed, >_>

That was idiocy. You are on the goal line, clock showing triple zero, with an All-Pro quarterback under center, 6'2" and 6'4" WRs, a former basketball player at tight end, a rookie running back, and one of the scariest defenses in the league loading up between the tackles. So... you run it right at them? A play-action bootleg could have sent that game to overtime easily.

But hey, I kicked off my fantasy campaign with 30 points from Rodgers! Fuck yeah!

Idk, I really can't figure out what he was thinking. At the very least he could've had Sproles on a toss around the side. Something.

Good performance by the Packers on offence, subpar on defence but it was against a good Saints offence as well, so I'd say average, but I know it's better than that.
Good job to Randall Cobb for a receiving TD and a 108 yard kick return TD.

The formation was good, I thought. A strong running formation, in that situation, gets the defense to sell out against the run.

Should have had Brees play-action fake and run a bootleg, and then either take it in himself or lob it to a tight end in the back of the end zone.

I'm not even sure about the power I they used - the Packers had been dominating the line of scrimmage throughout run plays in the fourth quarter. I'm usually a power running guy, but not when your options are an unproven rookie or Pierre Thomas (who I'd much rather have running towards the sidelines). I honestly think a good old fashioned option run would have been the best. Not very common in the NFL - but neither is an onside kick to start the second half of a Superbowl. Sean Payton doesn't seem to have a problem with doing the unusual and I really would have liked an option called there.

When you were one of the worst short yardage rushing teams in the league last year, and you were getting beat up on the line of scrimmage last night, I don't think you run the ball there. I know there isn't a lot of room to work with in that position, but you still gotta trust Brees.

On the other side of things, Rodgers showed us why he's among the top three QBs in the league not only through his stats but the ridiculous throws he was making. Defense looked okay in spots, but needs to get better and it will.

Overall, GO PACK GO baby.

Looks like Kerry Collins could be starting for the Colts for a few weeks.

Or maybe even the full season. The worst thing Peyton can do is hurry back onto the field before he is totally ready.

I still think that the colts could do leagues better than Kerry Collins.

Yeah. Isn't Mark Bulger still floating around somewhere? Not that's he's much better, but I still think he's an improvement over Collins.
