Yeah. I'd love it. The 989 NBA with Jordan has classic teams. The Bulls teams, and the teams they played against in the playoffs. The Cavaliers with Mark Price, the Bad Boys from Detroit, Stockton and Malone.

I like it.

Drew Brees passing for only 138? That's like when I play against the Saints in Madden!

When I play he often times gets less than that, I'm much more of a running play caller. And Madden way-WAY overestimates Reggie Bush, so you can prettywell crush anybody with him.

I'll miss him in Videogames, lol.

Haha, I'm a grinder, too. I love running up the gut. When I do pass, I like to hit Tight Ends, Running Backs out in the flats, or WR screens.

None of this "spread the field" nonsense.

I'd buy it, I'd like to see, say, Bobby Hebert's Saints vs Peyton Manning's Colts.

Here you go. Brees for 292 and 3 TDs. Saints win.

Y'all are BORING at football.
I could beat the daylight out of your teams in Madden.

It's a possibility, I don't like comparing modern players to past ones. Gale Sayers, for example, would destroy any Running Back playing to day, I think.

The rules were so much tougher, and the game so much more difficult than what players have to deal with now. You'd get fined for the kind of shit those guys had to put up with today, back then it was just another part of the game.

It works the other way too though. I mean people talk about Jim Brown running over people and dragging lineman with him, but at the time a lot of the d-lineman would be the size of today's average linebacker.

Players today are certainly bigger and faster than at any time in history. You go back a few decades and any modern NFL team would blow the best sides of that era away on size athleticism alone. That's the problem with such comparisons.

Come now, the Decatur Staleys would give them a run for their money!

The Staleys at least still exist.

I'd wager on the Portsmouth Spartans.

As do they.

The point is to name teams that don't exist anymore...

True, but I think all the size in the world doesn't help if one Horse-collar puts you out of the game.

At least the last few PC versions did.

Just use the "simulate game" feature with one of the included historic teams.

When i play Madden, i usually do short passes like Slants, Drags, short posts, curls, and screens. I use to run when i played on the PS2, becuase it was a lot easier then XBox360. So, I usually do a lot of mediocre short passes, so usually my QB's end up like 35-45 but for jut 180, 200 yards.

Also, according to WhatIf Sports, 100 games on each:
'09 Colts @ '09 Satans: Colts win 54, Satans win 46
'09 Satans @ '09 Colts: Colts win 65, Satans win 35

Obviously, your results will vary if you run it yourself.

Hmmm, I wonder.

Apparently the 2008 Carolina Panthers would beat the 2011 Packers.

212 to 151 passing yards.

Yeah, I remember that game; I was twelve then. Arizona and Indy both had three wins going into the last week; Indy lost and Arizona won theirs, giving us the first pick.

I remember Dad saying after the game, "Oh, well. As long as they don't take Leaf, it'll get better next year."

Well...it didn't right away, but the year after.
