Surely this 5 game stretch has to be among the worst statistical performances ever by a QB on a 4-1 swing, right?

He's the best High School QB to play the game, heh heh.

Probably. The closest thing I can think of is Kyle Orton for the 2005 Bears, when he went 10-5 including an eight-win streak. But even rookie Orton managed to complete over 50% of his passes that year.

Exactly.
I don't think Tebow's completed more than 40% of his passes, but I could be wrong.

Look at him from last year, though. Averaging around 260 yards from scrimmage a game, and even passed for more than 300 against the Texans with a completion percentage around 50% for the season. He didn't exactly light up the Jets, and didn't play well against the Chiefs, but he's still averaging in the neighborhood of 200 yards a game.

I wouldn't care if he was playing with his left hand blown off - if he can gain that much in the air and on the ground, without giving the ball up, and playing as clutch as he is in the 4th quarter, I'll take it any day.

What I do want to know, though, is why Broncos staff have yet to fucking figure out that he's doing work out of the 5-Wide Shotgun formation, which is what they go to when down late. I mean, seriously - running from the I-Formation three fucking times in a row in the shadow of your goalposts doesn't even make sense, especially not while down late.

Denver can't just run QB Draw and QB Counter out of an empty backfield for 60 minutes. It worked for the last five only because, first of all, it was a departure from what they'd been doing, and second, the Jets failed to maintain assignment discipline for the first time all game

As far as the game tonight though, that was pretty low. A game that I thought was a throwaway turns out to be a fight, and the Chiefs are actually in it with a chance to win...and Dwayne Bowe doesn't even give a fuck, doesn't even try for it.

A guy like that is on my team? He would be cut by the end of the night, that's it, you don't just not try, fuck that, you shouldn't be playing in that case. Bowe's dead to me.

I'm not a Broncos fan, honestly, but I am a Tebow fan because of what he did for my favorite college team, the Gators.
Sad part is I used to hate the Broncos, but I find myself enjoying the ride he's taking them on.
