i don't think the age of a country has any reason to be proud, ashamed, or anything else of it.

as long as it isn't acting like a criminal among other nations, or embracing policies biased for or against any ethnicity, that's as cool as a nation can get.

i do think honoring and carrying forward indigenous traditions, those which predate its modern government, as long as THEY aren't discriminatory or what have you, is an extremely positive and honorable.

i mean what's really important about a country is what i see as the only two reasons for one to exist, and that is infrastructure and well being.

how a nation treats the lest of its citizens, or anyone else on the planet, that is the measure of it. that and how harmonious with nature it keeps its useful, physical, tangible infrastructure.

Surely it's vaguely embarrassing? I mean, NationStates is not that complicated a game. I can't see how anyone could or would play it in excess of six or seven years. It must get stale at some point, right? Not that I can talk. Steadily pushing towards three years myself now, heh.

It's just a matter of logging in regularly and keeping your nation alive, which can be done while checking your mail or looking for porn entertainment on the internet. A minimal amount of disciplin goes a long way, which explains the antiquity of my own nation. I've grown fond of it, actually.
