How old...

Does a nation have to be before it's founded in "antiquity"?

Also, I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed of this fact.

older than mine. There's a thread in the technical forum that explains it precisely. Just know I shall -NEVER- forgive you for possessing such an elite and/or desirable title. You must at least do what I would do in the situation and use it to exclude others by forming elite cliques with the other people founded in antiquity.

Why be embarrased? It just means you're so old, there's no record of when you were born. If anything, I wish I had the word antiquity as my founding date.

Surely it's vaguely embarrassing? I mean, NationStates is not that complicated a game. I can't see how anyone could or would play it in excess of six or seven years. It must get stale at some point, right? Not that I can talk. Steadily pushing towards three years myself now, heh.

I blame the forums, mostly. The game itself tends to get old quick (and way back when I started, we only had thirty different issues to repeat compared to the like 200-someodd we have now!), but people get addicted to some part of the forums; for me, the worldbuilding/roleplaying stuff got me. For some, General is what hooks 'em. Maybe some get caught up in the WA, and don't forget the invader/defender folks in the game itself. =p

Well we all know what has happened so far to every state founded in antiquity in the real world.

Goths, Vandals, Huns, Hurulians, Mongols, Persians, Vikings, Crusaders: They happened.

So being founded 'in antiquity' is much like saying 'please barbarian horde me now' and one should be thoroughly embarrassed.
To represent this, I voted 'polls are fun'.

Sadly, I'm not an Antique. Not even with my oldest nation, since I've seen dates earlier than its date.

There's a game? Huh, just use it for forums.

Yeah, it would be entirely the forums. I sort of meant like "is it sad that I've stuck with a forum long enough for them to deem me to have started in antiquity" as being possibly embarrassing.

Thinking it over, I think it's probably more neat than anything. :D

Also, I'm not sure that I'm a huge fan of this "save" function.

Yeah, that bit where issues come up and you do something about them? I haven't responded to one for a while. I think I'm actually in vacation mode so I stop getting more.

I had a couple old nations here.

But one got banned for rude conduct (Onion Pirates)
(a "stoner bear" quiz? So how is Lunatic Goofballs still here?)

and the other quit for personal reasons which will not be disclosed. (Name Withheld)

So I am older than I may seem, y'all.

Rude Conduct? Stone Bear quiz? I would have liked to have seen that one.
