we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.

I suppose one can, but I dunno...

The soldiers are certainly the ones who DID these things. They could have NOT done it, but they chose to.

Then again, when you see your enemy as inhuman and lower than low, and you have been taught this by your superiors, they often don't think their superiors are going to cover their asses (and that they're better at it) and then leave them in the wind.

Bullshit. When I was in everyone assumed that if something went wrong the upper echelons would push the blame as far down the chain of command as plausible deniability would allow.

I imagine they still do. In some cases deniability covered us on the bottom since we could launch things at targets we weren't privy to the information on. I launched some TLAM's into former Yugoslavia back in the 90's and never knew where they're actual destination was. We'd get a mision package number, upload the package to the missile, plot it an avoidance course to its land-fall waypoint, fire it and forget it. Nintendo warfare.
Such heroic nonsense!

Well, it doesn't take much courage to piss on an enemy after he's dead. And frankly, it doesn't take much skill for a superpower to invade a small underdeveloped country either. It obviously tells something of American society that they need so feeble enemies to be victorious, especially considering it's been 10 years and they still haven't dealt with the Taliban.

But if their intent was to insult the enemy, personally I'd suggest smearing them with lard before burial instead as something much more demoralizing. A Muslim that has come in contact with pig and hasn't purified himself afterwards has no hope of entering afterlife, the only thing that fanatics like Taliban really fear. The Brits used this to their advantage in colonial wars of early 1900's.

Life is like surfing the Internet - there's no meaning or purpose, yet you don't really want to quit either.

Socially-liberal capitalist democracy DOES NOT equate to free society.

Contrary to popular belief, National Socialists aren't racists. They simply hate their own race less than others.
