What I'd asK:

You claim your time as a missionary in France was spent in austerity, yet Richard Anderson, the son of the mission president at the time you were there says you lived in the Mission Home which he described as "a house built by and for rich people" and a "palace” with stained glass windows, chandeliers, an extensive art collection, and a staff of two servants – a Spanish chef and a houseboy. Can you please explain?

That was the point of asking "Excuse me, my watch has stopped, have you got the right time? " as Aesthetica suggested. At least it'd be more entertaining BS.

You may as well ask him a frivolous question. You'll get maybe two minutes from him, most of which will be filled with meaningless blather.

Ask him why he would rather have an overly bloated military than insure healthcare for US citizens?

I can think of a few viable questions to ask...

Ask him a question about a policy of his that concerns you, so that you may come to a more full understanding of his viability as a presidential contender, as this will also be of mutual benefit to all others present and will avoid wasting time and money for a cheap joke.

Ask him if he wears the long sleeved/long legged garments in the winter-time, or whether he sticks to the default short sleeve and boxer-brief style.

"People accuse you of only saying what you think will get you elected. In this campaign, Newt Gingrich once called the original Ryan Plan 'right-wing social engineering'; Rick Santorum has said repeatedly that he's against birth control; Rick Perry said that it would be 'heartless' to charge the children of undocumented aliens out-of-state tuition rates; and Ron Paul said that we should end the War on Drugs and legalize prostitution. Each of those stands was an expression of some idea that is unpopular among today's Republicans and cost the candidate who took it support, but by taking them, each of the men in question proved that he isn't just all about getting elected, but rather actually has core values that he clings to, regardless of whether they advance his political ambitions or not.

"So can you, Governor, give us an example of a position you've taken - in any campaign you've been in - that you knew was unpopular among the voters you were facing, but had to take anyway because your own core principles demanded it, political ambition notwithstanding?"
