I think sober folks have reservations when they speak and act normally, and alcohol loosens up their toungue and all, but drinking like, way more then that pretty much turns you into the lizard-brain version of yourself that is nothing but insanity and cop-punching.

I can honestly say that has never crossed my mind when drunk. Even so, there's still a difference between being a dumbass and a violent, abusive monster...

Why I don't drink gin, in any case.

Well, thats just the start of the party on the path to finding your own darker mirror image of your, my young patawan. You puke, and then pound some liquor on your now freshly emptied stomach.

Thats when the Devil Gin takes over.

Why is my only option to change the drinking age 12?

Also, I like alcohol.

Well when crack addicts start running around the streets of London because the police is too overworked enforcing petty laws, I'm sure everyone will understand that it's for the greater good. You could either over-enforce it if you are bored (like US police in suburbs regarding underage drinking) or you could consider it a joke (like US police in New York, LA, who have better things to do like preventing robberies). Either way it will fall on its face and attract ire or contempt from either side.

This has been my opinion on all forms of alcohol and drug specific crime. If someone's being loud and belligerent, arrest them for disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace or any number of other laws. Their state of intoxication is irrelevant, it's the behavior that's important. The same applies with driving. I don't care if a drunk guy's driving along having just shot up a giant dose of heroin and cocaine as long as he's driving safely. The issue is not his intoxication, the issue is his driving. And reckless driving laws exist for a reason. If someone is driving unsafely, charge them as such. Don't charge them for being drunk. They've already violated the important law, the alcohol might've motivated it, but is in the end irrelevant.

There is nothing wrong about alcohol, or selling these products. Its those people who imbibe alcohol and not be responsible of their actions. Nowadays, personal responsibility is a vague memory and that most people rather put blame on different things rather than owing up and taking resposibility of their own actions.

That's not true. Alcohol is probably one of the weakest. If we're talking powerful to mean potent, than LSD is obscenely more potent than alcohol. It's dose is measured in micrograms, as is the dose of many other hallucinogenic drugs.

Most drugs produce a shift in consciousness more pronounced than that of alcohol. I don't think you'll ever convince me that alcohol is more powerful than, say, meth or DMT. Hell, that bottle of robitussin sitting in your medicine cabinet will get you more fucked up than any sane amount of alcohol.

Actually, it's popular because there's no accounting for taste or for class. Why the hell do you people have "light beer"? That's a good quesiton too.

Yeah, I'd think a straight ounce of LSD-25 or PCP would wreck a guy more then a couple of shots of whiskey.

Or maybe I've just developed that much of a tolerance? Probably not.

That seems very, very, very wrong. Solvents below cannabis? Solvents, for those of you not aware, would be inhalants. I'm pretty sure huffing gas is a lot worse for you than smoking weed.

Depends. If you say you're a hipster, then you technically can't be a hipster. But I believe that counter-culture is just as bad as the right-wing fanatics in that they waste resources, time, air and they spread around a lot of useless garbage -- both thwart the progression of society.

Not totally sure about that, the only drug I have studied up on is cannabis. I'll get back to you if I find something.

Fair enough. I used to drink that at my Grandmother's house when I was too young to buy any for myself.

alcohol is boring.
people turn to it because they've been brainwashed into associating imagination with immaturity.
if there were nothing wrong with the culture, people wouldn't be wanting it.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.
