The question is not, did he predict the housing bubble but what has he done to help the economy recover? As far as I can tell, Ron Paul's economic policies would damage the US economy more than the bubble did.

only those who hoped to continue making money off of the housing bubble didnt know it was a bubble and that it would burst. if it was obvious to ME that it was problematical it was obvious to actual experts in these things.

ron paul thought (and thinks) that government-backed agencies that actually saw a decline in their market share during the bubble caused the bubble. not only is this stupid in its own rights, but it definitely cannot account for the exactly contemporaneous commercial real estate bubble.

ron paul is a clock that isn't merely broken, but actively moving at the wrong speed. every so often he is almost close to right, but it only lasts a second.

What does my viewpoint matter? Im looking for alternative viewpoints to test against my own. I already know my opinion. What I don't know is what other people may think about this. Maybe Ron Paul stole someone elses work, maybe he just got lucky. I wont know for sure until someone gives a decent answer so I can see all sides of the issue and form an objective opinion rather than a biased one.
