EDIT- Speaking about the drug laws thing... that's one thing I can actually almost agree with him on. Problem is, he's anti-regulation, and I feel that drugs need to be at least as regulated as alcohol is.

Actually, most alcohol regulation in the US tends to be at the State level. But I agree, I think all drugs should be handled the way alcohol is handled in the US, it's a tried and true system. A Goldilocks system of sorts.

Which is ironically what worries me most about Paul, is that he's just way too "LEGISLATE ALL THE THINGS AT STATE LEVEL ONLY!". That's just as dangerous as the other extreme.

Oh by the way, I did a bit of fact checking and the powers in the NDAA is actually stated in the AUMF, not the Patriot Act

The question is not, did he predict the housing bubble but what has he done to help the economy recover? As far as I can tell, Ron Paul's economic policies would damage the US economy more than the bubble did.
