Here's a funny video. I agree, the only one who was honest about what he'd be doing on a saturday night was Ron Paul... He'd be reading an Austrian economics book (yeah he said textbook ;) ).

Exactly. See, what happened was, Dear Speaker Boehner and the New Model House of Republicans were all about jobs, jobs, jobs last year, but the evil Islamofascist Kenyan anti-colonialist, Barack Hussein Obama obstructed them by proposing legislation he knew would not create jobs, jobs, jobs and he also had the obstructionist almost-traitors in the Senate block anything the New Model House managed to pass anyway. Oh, the depth of that man's hatred for the United States is beyond belief.

the republicans understand that government cant create jobs.

only republicans can.

This is turning into the inverse of the pre-vote part of the campaign. One after another, everyone will take second to Romney.

Should we place bets on which state Newt takes second in first?

ok, so romney basically has this one in the bag - see his lead in dixville...and every poll ever done. but there looks to be a battle for second and a battle for fourth. my prediction:
mittens by 13 points
guy who believes in evolution just barely edging out GOOOOOOOLD!*
froth over newt by 2 as gingrich's collapse continues
and i guess perry is still running.

The Free State Project's mistake is picking New Hampshire. With the aging population in the US, no one wants to move to New England full time. They should try for some place warmer. Arizona comes to mind. I bet half the recruits are snow birds anyway.

i think that everyone is going to ignore whatever place ron paul gets and consider their position as if he wasnt running at all. so if he comes in 2nd and huntsman makes 3rd, huntsman came in 2nd.

i dont know about the free state project but the tea party took the new hampshire state house from conservative to nutty. that may be an effect of some dedicated libertarians moving in.

So far, you've got beady-eyed (Newt), paranoid (Paul), no charisma (Romney), no media affection (Santorum), and extremely intelligent and rather moderate (Huntsman) all separated and fighting with each other.

It was a dumb question. Wouldn't it have been interesting if one of the candidates called him out on it and explained why such questions detract from important issues and are a waste of their time?

But that is not their way. If you talk about issues, you have to prove you have a plan......

Man of the people BS.

Just 5% are reporting though. Some early results from the last primary put Ron Paul in the lead. We won't really be able to guess until at least 30% come in but still fun to speculate ;).

New Hampshire Republican Primary
Jan 10, 2012 (5% of precincts reporting)
Mitt Romney 5,185 36.6%
Ron Paul 3,486 24.6%
Jon Huntsman 2,087 14.7%
Newt Gingrich 1,628 11.5%
Rick Santorum 1,428 10.1%

If Santorum holds that place he may no longer be seen as a viable candidate.

I notice that New Hampshire lost half its delegates because they didn't move the primary to date after February 1st.

It seems annoying that parties have that much power. It's like somehow we have the worst of both systems (the system where you vote on a party and the system where you vote on an individual)
