Just e-mailed my congressman and my senator. I don't think it'll get through to my senator, as he's probably bought and paid for by this point, but I hope that my congressman will listen.

If it does happen in the US, it won't be long before Canada passes similar legislation.

I'm moving to a foreign country and setting up a pay-by-month trusted DNS server. Say... $2 per month or $20 per year?

This quote says it all:
Digital Piracy Is Evil: Despite still lingering today, companies have ultimately realized that the war against piracy is a lost cause, and have taken incentive to work around it instead.

Also, here's something for you to ponder on regarding internet censorship, from the same source:

Certainly made me think, anyway!
Sometimes, this shows how out-of-touch the governments can be with regard to "new media".

I have multiple puppets here; only a select few are used to represent the continent of Astholm; others used represent Westholme, and do not artificially boost my nation's statistics.Previously i used puppets with nation names that did not identify as Astholm (e.g. Australis Australia; now all new puppets use ASTHLM, NORTHLM, SOUTHLM, WESTHLM (HLM denoting The Holmes.
NOTE: Other uses of Astholm here have a different continuity and refer to work created by the user Astholm, not the nation

Wow, I just looked at that link, showing which pols oppose SOPA, and which support it, and saw the overwhelming disparity in political contributions, in favor of the supporters. They may be a tiny group, but they sure have a lot of money to spend.
I see that most Republicans seem to support this terrible bill, which irritates me - I didn't send them to Washington for this sort of thing.
One of my friends, a liberal Democrat, teases me sometimes, when I complain about things like this. She says, it really makes you mad, doesn't it, when Republicans act like Republicans! I don't know what to say to her.
I can't understand why any American who doesn't work for either the corrections industry or the music/publishing industry would support SOPA.
