Taiwan vs China: Who would win?

A taiwan-china war is a legitimate conflict that may happen within our lifetime. After reading up on the topic and capabilities of the said nations, i have deduced this: The PRC (mainland china) would not be able to sustain an assault on The Republic of China (ROC). The PRC simply cannot move the men and materials to the island. Taiwan has the backing of the US/EU/Israel, and their technology is a decade or so behind the ROC Armed Forces. What say you? Voice your opinion?

Without the EU/UN/America interfering China would win hands down. With the aforementioned country/commities it would depend on who started the war and why.

I think the most peaceful solution is to accept both states but I wish mainland China would adopt democracy, seriously. It shouldn't be the battle of ideologies now to be honest, more like, human rights.

In a purely individual contest of military might, I would say that China wins hands down, without the help of allies or anything on either side.

I don't think either would make much progress against each other. The ROC isn't going to invade the mainland and the Chinese have no ability to take Tiawan with their garbage airforce and navy.

I think China has already stated that they will never try to invade. I think they will hope the proletariate will rise up and overthrow the capitalist oppressor ROC government or Tiawan will somehow come under its rule without the need for war.

I don't see why Taiwan would even bother Red China is perfectly willing to allow it to function as normal much like HK

I certainly wouldn't want a bunch of dodgy Chinese fireworks flying overhead they kill and maim enough people unintentionally
